Legality of Salvia divinorum in the US Alabama: House Bill 697 made Salvia divinorum Schedule I; illegal, as are all parts and derivatives of the plant, growing or not, that can be botanically classified as belonging to "Salvia divinorum." Salvinorin A is also illegal. It is not specified whether salvinorin B methoxymethyl ether is legal or not. [1]
