Meditation frequencies are audio frequencies that are claimed to cause mind-altering effects in humans and are often used in settings for sensory deprivation and for meditative or religious purposes. These frequencies are often known as audible waves ranging anything from 3 Hz to 30.000 Hz.[citation needed]
Despite frequencies only from 20 Hz to 20.000 Hz being hearable, it is claimed that frequencies beyond this range can alter perception in a similar manner as psychoactive substances. Binaural beats and monaural beats effects can only be fully manifested with the use of headphones or earphones as it is easier for the frequencies to be processed by the brain and have the intended effect.[citation needed]
There are 2 types of meditation frequencies. Monaural beats (like colors of noise as well as shamanic frequencies) and binaural beats.[citation needed]
There are 6 types of binaural beats: delta waves, theta waves, mu waves, alpha waves, beta waves and gamma waves.[citation needed] All of these types have their own effects and some research suggests they can have psychological benefits, especially for people who have problems with trauma and stress.[citation needed]
Delta waves are associated with deep sleep cycles and the release of physical awareness.[citation needed]
Theta waves are associated with the heavy relaxation that comes from frequent, deep meditation.[citation needed]
Mu waves are associated with a state of physical rest, stillness, immobility.[citation needed]
Alpha waves are associated with a restful and relaxed state that exists when both entering and exiting sleep.[citation needed]
Beta waves are associated with concentration and moderate alertness.[citation needed]
Gamma waves are associated with alertness and sensitive perception.[citation needed]
Subjective effects
Disclaimer: The effects listed below cite the Subjective Effect Index (SEI), an open research literature based on anecdotal user reports and the personal analyses of PsychonautWikicontributors. As a result, they should be viewed with a healthy degree of skepticism.
It is also worth noting that these effects will not necessarily occur in a predictable or reliable manner, although higher doses are more liable to induce the full spectrum of effects. Likewise, adverse effects become increasingly likely with higher doses and may include addiction, severe injury, or death ☠.
Physical effects
The physical effects are frequency, mood and state dependent and will occur differently for everyone.
Stimulation or Sedation Meditation frequencies can both be stimulating or sedating depending on factors like the frequency , the setting and the overall state of the user
Geometry caused by meditation frequencies like white noise or binaural beats can often be comprehensively described through its variations as simplistic in complexity, abstract in form, organic in feel, structured in organization, dimly lit, and multicoloured in scheme, glossy in shading, soft in its edges, large in size, slow in speed, smooth in motion, rounded in its corners, non-immersive in-depth and consistent in intensity. Most often geometry caused by meditation frequencies rarely reach level 2 Geometry and are often very poorly perceived but users with previous usage of drugs often experience these geometry more intensely.
Hallucinatory states
Hallucinatory states are often very rare and occur either after frequent use or after a long time. Note that this effect is very consistent in dark environments and can
be described through their variations as lucid in believability, interactive in style, new experiences in content, autonomous or controllable in controllability, solid in style and almost exclusively of a personal, religious, spiritual, science-fiction, fantasy, surreal, nonsensical, or transcendental nature in their overall theme.
Synesthesia In its fullest manifestation, this is a very rare and non-reproducible effect. Long usage can increase the likelihood of this occurring, but seems to only be a prominent part of the experience among those who are already predisposed to synaesthetic states.

Toxicity and harm potential

Meditation frequencies are not shown to have any toxic or physically harming potential to the human body. However frequent auditory exposure to high or low meditation frequencies may cause hearing loss or visual snow syndrome [1]
Binaural beats can also affect heart rhythms, so anyone with a pacemaker or heart problem should be cautious when using them. Individuals who are interested in binaural beats should consult a doctor before use.
