Background

Subject has smoked during his late teens, and then again in his twenties. Had ceased due to worries about cognitive decay. Cannot self control when substance is around, must involve third parties or dispose of drug.

Lately subject had found a joint on the floor of an electronic music party, subject collected it to trade, since he wasn't smoking anymore out of personal growth. Subject was experiencing professional, academic, physical and romantic progress and maturing, but eventually stumbled back into old habits, culminating in the smoking of the joint that had been stored.

It is likely that this is the last part of the joint, in argentina this is coloquially known as a 'tuca', to finish a 'tuca' is 'to kill a tuca'. Subject opens the window so as to avoid raising olfactory suspicion and writes this text in preparation of the experiment.

Subject will play 3 games of chess with time controls of 1 minute before the joint, and 3 games of chess after. Subject may also perform other experiments, but does not commit to it, as that it feels tyrannical to control one's future self.

Subject typically experiences the following effects:

- Cognitive decay

- Muscular spasms

- Laughter

- Thought compulsion

- Increased empathy and sociability

- Insight, sometimes genuine, sometimes delusional, especially regarding emotional matters. This effect has been referred to as the Wisdom of the Tree

- Increased energy or motivation to work out, or work. Mostly out of fear.

Subject is currently experiencing insomnia, sleeps at 6AM, wakes up at 2pm.

Experience report

Note: This section should include the content of the experience itself.

A formal timeline is preferred but not required. Example format:

03:38 Subject plays 3 matches: Wins 2, loses 1, experience felt boring.

03:45 Subject smokes the first hit on a desk to avoid losing precious miligarms. Toke falls apart lit buds fall into a paper and burns through it.

3:47 Subject becomes nervous because of family member walking outside room.

03:49 Subject resolves to inspect bud pieces closely and identify their botanical morphology.

03:55 Subject had some trouble posting job posting.

03:56 Subject does not feel a lot of effects, except floatiness, and possibly slight Cognitive Decay when writing.

03:58 Subject plays 3 games of chess.

04:00 Game 1 won. No cognitive problems. Time dilation presented, possibly helpful or correlated with time advantage on the board. Possible increased concentration, or mental advantage due to time dilation.

04:04 Game 2 Lost. Started out strong, opponent had a very weak opening and got attacked without castling. couldn't convert to a win or significant advantage. Concentration streak and time dilation advantage dwindled. Lost on time.

04:05 Game 3 Win. Virtual tie. Time dilation present. Hyperactivity?

04:13 After recording the ashes with zoom and light to verify no thc is lost, subject engineers a pipe out of a BIC pen. Smokes hit 2, like the first, held in lungs mixed with around half air.

04:14 Subject prepares to take last hit, will be strong, if anything the first hit will be the weak one. Does size of hit matter? Subject thinks not, as thc absorption is always prioritized. It's likely that preference for thc absorption is inversely correlated with amount of drug left.

04:15 Visual effects with light from phone, (which is still recording). Time dilation, more precisely short term memory weakened, subject can't tell if 30 seconds have passed or 2 minutes, it's all the same.

04:16 Difficulty remembering thoughts, thought speed exceeds hand. Wasn't the case before. Possibly speed of thought is very high, thoughts are lost, against all efforts.

04:17 04:17

04:17 We have become self aware

04:18 Aware that we are trapped in a log, our thoughts are the log and they get mixed.

04:18 Timestamps still useful, a mantra.

04:18 Slight dizziness, pleasurable.

04:18 compulsion to write every thought down, not pleasurable.

04:19 timestamp is pretyped before changing task

04:19

04:20 Toked smoked, very big flame, burnt too much joint, unintentionally. The hit wasn't bigger, but a lot of material was lost or will be lost in future smokes.P.S: Connection between task scheduling successful. Process was hibernated and then dehibernated fairly effectively.

04:22 A pause

04:35 Subject writes to an internet friend.

04:35 Subject tired. Cold.Spasmy.

04:36 Subject feels betrayed by sacrificing to the weede Lord and not obtaining good qualias.

04:36 Subject needs quality qualia, something to remember in the future, something to remember from the past. Notable not mundane.

04:38 The internet.

04:38 The internet. How many pigeon have I sacrificed to the Internet lord. To its memetic henchmen. To its delusory maidenry. To its stars. And still no qualia, what my luck.

Poetry is about the rules 04:40

04:40 And how to not break them.

04:41 For the non memorable qualia, are the ones that are worth.

04:41 For they must escape the strict confines of the rememberable.

04:41 Qualia oh Qualia!

04:42 Relinquish thee from my lock-on

04:42 I beg oh Qualia, one last goodbye.

04:43 For a long time.

04:44 And to be a long time

04:45 I must make gain of your wrath

04:45 For it to be a long time.

04:45 To miss can not be

04:46 The qualia of good to bountiful to be had

04:46 the qualia of bad must be met with arush

04:46 The qualia of good

04:47 The time dilated qualia of good

04:47 and the time dilated

04:47 but always pressing

04:47 spike on the gut (read like an irish, so it rimes with good, not as a saxony english because that would not rhyme with good.)

04:48 A bad deal I say.

04:49

Subject was tired and went to bed with his phone, took 2 hours to fall asleep, slept until 3pm the next day, still tired..
