Background

I am a big-time lightweight when it comes to substances.

I smoke weed daily as of this report, but I was not stoned. I meditate a few times per week for about 10-15 minutes.

I have diagnosed generalized anxiety (before I started smoking pot). I find progesterone has a marked anxiolytic effect. It's quite sedating.

I am a trans woman. For about 2 years as part of my hormone therapy I have been taking 200 mg of progesterone by mouth every night.

Likely just perceptual, but if I take it and my partner is around then the effects seem to be amplified.

Tonight I was chilling in my room reading before bed, I took the pill on an empty stomach.

Experience report

0:00 - I swallow the pill and go back to my reading.

0:45 - "oh fuck" (positive exclamation) I start to feel a bit dizzy and thoughts are slightly more sluggish. I continue on reading.

1:00 - It takes longer for my eyes to focus on things, and I decide to stop reading and go lie down. Still a bit dizzy I often stumble around but I can walk straight with some effort. Around this point I often crave touch from my partner as I find the sensory alterations to be very enjoyable. Touch on my body feels slightly "delayed", "less sharp", "deeper", and more intense. Gentle touch with the proper erotic mindset is amazing and it's so easy to get waves of physical euphoria through my body. It's easier to relax my muscles and feels more deeply relaxing, more limp than usual.

1:15 - Around this point I decide to go to bed as I'm very sleepy from the pill and have had my fill of enjoying the body sensations. I feel a little fuzzy all over, not warm or cold, just a slight tingling kind of like when a limb falls asleep but all over and much less intense. I feel "in my body" like I am aware of myself existing throughout each limb and can feel the boundaries of my body clearly.
