Laughter fits can be described as the experience of uncontrollable, intense, spontaneous and consistently manifested laughter which occurs under the influence of certain substances. Drug induced laughter fits are often caused by a trivial occurrence that would not usually induce fierce laughter, and may be completely untriggered. Laughter is a physical reaction consisting typically of rhythmical, often audible contractions of the diaphragm and other parts of the respiratory system.
