Guidelines

General guidelines when editing PW to keep the data consistent:

• CONSULT THE Special:RecentChanges PAGE REGULARLY TO KNOW WHICH CHANGES HAVE BEEN MADE RECENTLY

• Do not put incomplete pages into the "Talk namespace". Instead, include the "Stub" Template at the top of page, by writing.

• Please make page names singular, like in an encyclopedia. Redirects can be made to singular pages. It will also help for translations in the future. Category names shall also be made singular.

• The top level header (=Title=) has almost never any reason to be used in practice, as it is the page's title. In other words, top sections should be Level 2 (==Section==). [1]

• Please use "File:" instead of "Image:" when linking to an image when possible, since "Image:" is the legacy way. [2]

• (NOT NOW) Please use the Template:Substance template for new substances as it will simplify the database a great deal. It will definitely be needed for version 1.0 release. Implementation help is available on the template page.

Editing the Main Page

To edit The "Recent updates" section on the main page, please edit the Template:Recent page.
