Piperidines are a class of chemicals that include compounds with psychoactive effects.
Chemistry
Piperidines are made up of the piperidines molecule, with altering functional groups attached on the numbered carbons. The molecular formula of this molecule is (CH2)5NH. It can be defined as an heterocyclic amine consisting of a six-membered ring containing five methylene bridges (-CH2-) and one amine bridge (-NH-).
Pharmacology
The piperidiness are a large chemical class and compounds within it have differing pharmacological effects.
