»Tilidine« (also known as Valoron®, Darby, generics) is a synthetic opioid that is commonly used and prescribed to treat severe to very severe pain.
It is a prodrug that is metabolized in the body primarily in the liver by cytochrome P450 enzymes to its active metabolite nortilidine.
“Tilidine” was patented in 1967 by the former German pharmaceutical manufacturer Gödecke and introduced to the market in 1970 as “Valoron®”. Nowadays, generics are also on the market, usually as a fixed combination with Naloxone (Narcan®, Naloxone + Brandname, Narcanti, Evzio) to reduce the risk of abuse.
Effects: Pain relief, often euphoria, anesthesia
Duration:
Orally; Total time: 4-6 hours 5 - 15 min: onset 20 - 40 min: come up 1 - 2 hours: Peak 30 - 60 min: offset
SIDE EFFECTS:
Frequently: Nausea, vomiting, heavy sweating (especially when stopping), dizziness, tiredness, headache, nervousness, diarrhea, stomach pain
Uncommon: sleepiness
Not officially known: Hallucinations, confusion, euphoric mood, tremors, increased reflexes, muscle twitching

“Tilidin” is a weakly effective opioid that can become physically and psychologically addictive in a short period of time!
❗Classic withdrawal symptoms are:
- Heavy sweating - Depressive moods - Suicidal thoughts - general malaise - Strong desire for painkillers - Exhaustion - psychological pain - Headache - Pain in the body - Dizziness - nausea, - Vomiting - Gastrointestinal complaints - Inner unrest - Irritability - Tremble - heart racing
Duration: Physical detoxification – usually a few days to two weeks
