Spore prints are a powdery deposit obtained by allowing spores of a fungal fruit body to fall onto a surface underneath. Spore printing is an important diagnostic character in most handbooks for identifying mushrooms. The spore print also can be used for making the spore syringe or cultivating the mushrooms. But for mushroom cultivating the spore printing process must be done in a sterile and clean area (for example, a sterile glove box).
