General guidelines when editing PW to keep the data consistent.
Guidelines
- Please make page names singular, like in an encyclopedia. Redirects can be made to singular pages. It will also help for translations in the future. Category names are plural.
- The top level header (=Title=) has almost never any reason to be used in practice, as it is the page's title. In other words, top sections should be Level 2 (==Section==). [1]
- Please use "File:" instead of "Image:" when linking to an image when possible, since "Image:" is the legacy way. [2]
- Please use the Template:Substance template for new substances as it will simplify the database a great deal. It will definitely be needed for version 1.0 release. Implementation help is available on the template page.
Editing the Main Page
To edit The "Recent updates" section on the main page, please edit the Template:Recent page.
