The structure of ergotamine

Ergotamine is a chemical of the lysergamide and ergopeptine classes of drugs. It is sometimes prescribed as a vasoconstrictor to help relieve symptoms of a migraine, sometimes in combination with caffeine. It is also a commonly used precursor to LSD; it appears as an alkaloid within the ergot fungus.

Ergotamine does not have any recreational value.
