Stamina enhancement can be described as an increase in the ability to engage in physically and mentally taxing activities without the development of fatigue. This effect is related to focus enhancement, motivation enhancement, and stimulation, among others. While stimulation is an increase in one's energy levels, which encourages physical or mental activity, stamina enhancement is an increase in one's ability and resilience in performing said activity. Substances that increase work capacity are known as actoprotectors, which are defined as "substances that enhance body stability against physical or mental loads without increasing oxygen consumption or heat production."[1]
