25B-NBOMe

25B-NBOMe is a relatively new substance, and little is known about its pharmacological risks or its interaction with other substances. The lethal dosage has not yet been determined. One case has been reported on where 25B-NBOMe was identified as the cause of death for a 17-year-old boy.[1]

It is advised that due to 25B-NBOMe's extreme potency it should not be insufflated as this method of administration is potentially fatal at heavy dosages.[2]

25B-NBOMe has been used in clinical trials with an evaluation dose for safety consideration to humans of only 1 microgram; Such a dose is 300× lower than the dose expected to be hallucinogenic to humans and it is expected that recreational use would greatly exceed doses determined to be safe to humans.[3]

25I-NBOMe

25I-NBOMe is a relatively new substance, and little is known about its pharmacological risks or its interaction with other substances. The LD50 has not yet been determined although it is potentially fatal at heavy dosages.[4] PsychonautWiki advises that due to 25I-NBOMe extreme potency it should not be insufflated as this method of administration appears to have led to several deaths in the past year.[5]

This substance came to media attention in early 2012 after a cluster of seven non-fatal overdoses with the drug were reported in or around Richmond, Virginia.[6][7] As of May 2013, 25I-NBOMe has reportedly led to five overdose deaths in the United States.[8] In June 2012, two teens in Grand Forks, North Dakota and East Grand Forks, Minnesota fatally overdosed on a substance that was allegedly 25I-NBOMe, resulting in lengthy sentences for two of the parties involved and a Federal indictment against the Texas based online vendor.[8]

A 21-year-old man from Little Rock, Arkansas died in October 2012 after taking a liquid drop of the drug nasally at a music festival. He was reported to have consumed caffeinated alcoholic beverages for "several hours" beforehand. It is unclear what other drugs he may have consumed, as autopsies generally do not test for the presence of research chemicals.[9]

A man in Australia died from injuries sustained by running into trees and power poles while intoxicated by 25I-NBOMe.[10]

25C-NBOMe

25C-NBOMe is a relatively new substance, and little is known about its pharmacological risks or its interaction with other substances. The LD50 has not yet been determined although it is potentially fatal at heavy dosages.[4] 25C-NBOMe overdoses have also been linked to multi-organ failure.[11][12]

It is advised that due to 25C-NBOMe's extreme potency it should not be snorted as this method of administration has been attributed to several near fatal overdoses due to improper dosing.[13]

25D-NBOMe

25D-NBOMe is a very new substance, and very little is known about its pharmacological risks or its interaction with other substances. The LD50 has not yet been determined.[4] Due to 25D-NBOMe's extreme potency, it should not be snorted as this method of administration appears to have led to several deaths from other NBOMe compounds in the past year.[14]

25N-NBOMe

The toxicity and long-term health effects of recreational 25N-NBOMe use have not been studied in any scientific context and the exact toxic dosage is unknown. This is because 25N-NBOMe is a research chemical with very little history of human usage. Anecdotal evidence from people within the psychedelic community who have tried 25N-NBOMe suggests that there are no negative health effects attributed to simply trying the drug by itself at low to moderate doses or using it very sparingly (but nothing can be completely guaranteed). Independent research should always be done to ensure that a combination of two or more substances is safe before consumption.

Users should be very careful and consider that ingesting 2mg+ of NBOMe series chemicals have proven fatal in some cases. Although there are no reported deaths caused by 25N-NBOMe at this time, it is a rare research chemical with very little history of human usage and is therefore potentially fatal at heavy dosages.
