Physical fatigue (or muscle fatigue) is the temporary physical inability of the muscles to perform optimally. It is a side effect characterized by feelings of tiredness and weakness. It can occur after prolonged physical exertion and extended periods of wakefulness. People who are fatigued may find it difficult to complete physical actions and may not be capable of getting out of bed or performing everyday household tasks.
