Rather than a unity with beings outside of the self there is a strong sense of being in total interconnection through the senses and through all the cells in ones body. This expeirence is rather profound and is almost always combined with synaesthesia, and level 8A geometry.
BOD produces self realization in a way that can be considered more intense than substances such as LSD. These realizations can sometimes feel much more intensee than one might normally want from a trip and as such care must be taken to always have a person one can talk to due to the intensity of the realizations.

{BOD has had such a limited history of us that as of 2019 while certain individuals are able to use as high as 70mg, and given the reduced potency compared to other long lasting psychedelic it is most likely BOD has a toxicity profile comparable to the 2Cx compounds. However given its strong dose response curve, the little information about the substance, and the long come up. It is strongly recommended that one use harm reduction practices when using this substance.
Lethal dosage
The highest dose consumed of BOD that has been reported so far is around 70mg. BOD has very little likihood of being a full agonist of 5-HT2A but that does not mean it is a purely safe psychedelic. While most dose ranges display common doses at 20-30mg, due to the substances response curve and its slow come up, the dose information currently available may not be correct, as other subtances Shulgin studied he found inactive were actually active at much higher doses.

Stimulants - Stimulants affect many parts of the brain. Combined with psychedelics, stimulation can turn into uncontrollable anxiety, panic, thought loops and paranoia. This interaction may cause elevated risk of psychosis.[citation needed]
Lithium - Lithium is often used as treatment for bipolar disorder. It may possibly cause elevated risk of seizures and psychosis due to its glutaminergic and GABAergic effects.[citation needed]
Serotonin Syndrome - Due to BOD's obscurity and its strong entactogenic effects, it is avisable for users to be very wary of combining serotonin releasing agents or ssris. Anecdotally a user was able to consume DXM during the comedown and was fine, but this does not mean that it is a safe combination and until further studies have been made, it is highly advisable to take lower doses of MDMA or other entactogens than one would with psychedelics such as LSD
