Introduction
Lacing drugs is a practice found among sellers of psychoactive substances, typically on the street market, for the purpose of increasing the perceived potency to the user. Colloquially, it is known as "cutting." It is often done recklessly[avoid opinion] and without the user knowing it has been laced and may potentially be lethal. An example would be if cannabis is dipped in or cut with PCP, ketamine or an analogue or synthetic cannabinoids and the user is sent into a psychotic episode resulting in injury or death, if pressed or crystal MDMA is combined with a cathinone, caffeine, or DOx compound causing overintoxication, extremely high blood pressure, or a stimulant overdose. Pressed benzodiazepine pills could be combined with other heavy depressants (ex. pressed alprazolam plus clonazepam, flubromazepam, etc). They could also be mislabeled or under or overdosed.
